Something magical is brewing here at Your Library Vault. I’m deep in the design of our next escape room, which I *think* will be called Escape from the Sorcerer’s Spell. While I can’t reveal the full adventure just yet, I couldn’t resist sharing a bit of wizardry with you right now.
Today’s free printable activity invites kids to step into the role of a young wizard and create their very own magical potion. They’ll:
Give their potion a name
Color the potion bottle
Pick their favorite magical ingredients
Write about what their potion can do
And if there’s time, the bonus prompt encourages them to turn the page over and write a short story about how their potion is used.
While it’s a perfect fit for the spooky-season fun leading up to Halloween, wizardry never goes out of style, so this activity works any time of year. Whether your young wizards want to make an invisibility brew, a frog-transformation elixir, or a super-speed serum, they’ll have everything they need to bring their magical creation to life.

And keep your eyes peeled! Escape from the Sorcerer’s Spell will be coming soon, and it’s packed with puzzles, story twists, and magical challenges!
With wonder,
